Regular subjects of this here blog thingy fill the lineup for the just-announced VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul, which will be broadcast on December 19 at 9 p.m. So, which of our gaydored divas will honor the great cities of soul?

A litany of our loves such as Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Jill Scott, Jessie J. and Florence Welch (from Florence + The Machine) will pay tribute to the cherished music genre. Though the lineup is still not finalized and could pack an even bigger diva punch as more acts are announced, this is shaping up to be a can't miss show.

“This year’s telecast will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century’s music and pop culture landscape as our talented and diverse lineup will attest,” said Lee Rolontz, VH1’s EVP, Original Music Production & Development, in a press release. “This year’s Divas offers a modern twist on soul music, all while tipping its hat to the legacy of key cities that created this musical heritage.”
