Marking a year of achievement for the LGBT community, Zach Wahls's impassioned speech in favor of marriage equality for his moms has been announced as YouTube's Top Political Video of 2011. Reacquaint yourself with the video and check out the competition (including another gay-related video that made waves in the blogosphere) that fills out the rest of the top 10 after the jump.

Zach's video has reached nearly 16 million views. Could we possibly swoon any stronger for Mr. Wahls?

Also notable, Rick Perry's "Strong" video (the second-most disliked YouTube video of 2011, following Rebecca Black's "Friday") takes third place on the list:

1. Zach Wahls speaks about family
2. President Obama at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner
3. Strong [Rick Perry ad]
4. President Obama on death of Osama bin Laden
5. Brother, can you spare a trillion? Government gone wild!
6. Seth Meyers remarks at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner
7. Rick Perry - Proven Leadership
8. Jon Stewart Goes Head-to-Head Bill O'Reilly
9. Now is the time for action! [Herman Cain ad]
10. President Barack Obama's First Ad of 2012 [NRSC Ad]

Here’s our interview with Zach about how his life has changed after this speech thrust him into the public eye, what it was like growing up with two mothers, what led him to decide to go and speak before the House of Representatives, and what other young people can do to fight for equality and speak out against intolerance.
