Daniel Radcliffe (otherwise known as Harry Potter), is on the cover of the new Details this month -- and we have to say, the pictures shot by Steven Klein make him look like a weird scary manboy. We also feel kind of creepy looking at them, since he's just turning 18 in two weeks - but hey, he's the one who stripped naked in a London production of Equus. He has more to say about that in the story, particularly in regards to getting a scripted erection for one of the play's final moments:

"It's the least arousing process ... To be honest, when you get naked in front of 900 people, quite the opposite happens. Not to become too graphic, but yeah."

Hmmm...we'll spare the "magic wand" jokes. Mostly because we're not sure whether to be intrigued or grossed out.

I visited my family last week back in Kentucky, and while I was there my mom decided she wanted us to clean out the basement.

First on her list was a giant box of VHS movies, a large majority of which were things my sister and I had taped off of TV through the years.

Since my sister and I had labeled them ourselves, looking through the tapes was a little like looking through a photo album:

• There's our copy of Mannequin with the title still misspelled
• My sister's preteen calligraphy spelling out Darty Dancing [sic]
• Can't forget Ferngully, which I decorated with glitter and sparkles
  

I agree with my mom's point that it's not as if I had watched any of these movies in forever, but there's a certain charm in turning on a movie that includes snippets of 1987-era HBO before or after the film, or has the "Free Cinemax Weekend 1990" scrolling across the bottom.

So it was with a heavy heart that I tossed them…and now I'm wishing I hadn't!

I have to say that even a wonderful movie like Overboard is better when you realize it's the same exact copy you watched with your sister 1,000 times the summer of 1992. And although I love the Friday the 13th franchise, I still regard my battered copies taped from USA's Up All Night, with all the sex and violence edited out, as THE definitive versions.

Via Towleroad -- One of the cast members of Big Brother 8 is finally giving us a reason to watch the show (there have been 8?!?). Muscle-bound hottie Nick Starcevic, former fitness model, football player, and, of course, Abercrombie employee, is amping up the is-he-or-isn't he game, recently admitting to a gay housemate that his dad always thought he was gay, and that he has given a guy oral sex before. Oh, and the admission comes while he's half naked in a hot tub. But, of course, he insists he's straight. Watch it here.

The persistent cuddling doesn't help his case:

Variety reports that New Line Cinema is teaming up with HBO to produce the long-rumored "Sex And The City" movie this fall, starring all the original cast, and written and directed by series creator Michael Patrick King.

Apparently the big diva of the fab four was not SJP, but rather, Kim Catrall:

The pic got close to happening about two years ago, but progress halted when Cattrall backed away. She wanted script control and a salary close to that of Parker, who was more highly paid than the others because she was co-executive producer of the series. Whatever tensions existed are gone now, sources said. Cattrall has a deal she’s happy with, one the sources said gives her input on her scenes, a fat salary and a future series deal with HBO.

And the sound of brunching gay men cllnking mimosa glasses was heard, all across the land...
