 JANET JACKSON GOES DEEP
Pop legend JANET JACKSON recently released Discipline, which finds her returning to her club roots. The album is classic Janet: Annihilating club tracks, sexy bedroom romps, and heartfelt ballads. Of course, nosy as we are, we wanted to dig a bit deeper to find out what’s making Miss Jackson tick these days.
JANET ON THE GAY APPEAL OF DISCIPLINE: “[Gay men] love to dance, so do I, and there’s that on this album for them to move to. I think they’ll be able to connect lyrically to the music, the songs and the concepts.”
ON DISCIPLINE IN GENERAL: “Discipline’s been a part of my life since I could remember. I think the biggest part would be discipline in my work and my focus. I need that, and I’ve always had that. I don’t know what I would do without that. I don’t know if it’s learned or just genetics, but I’ve seen it with my brothers. I’ve seen where focus, hard work and discipline get you. It’s just always been a part of my life.”
ON A TYPICAL NIGHT OUT: “I love going to clubs with my friends. We’ll grab a bite to eat, go to a movie and dance. [We’ll] hang out with one another afterwards sometimes—just have a good time, laugh and feel free.”
AFTER A FEW DRINKS: “I’m fun, I’m not ugly. I’m not funky when I have a few drinks in me. I like to laugh. I like to have fun, so I get real giddy and silly.”
ON HER GUILTY PLEASURE: “A Sugar Daddy—candy! That’s what I’m talking about…a caramel apple with nuts—that’s like a guilty pleasure of mine.”
ON PORNOGRAPHY: “As long as it doesn’t hurt anybody, I don’t see anything wrong with it.”
ON GAY PORN: “It’s gotten me excited a couple times. [Laughs] That’s how I feel about it!”
ON GAY RUMORS ABOUT HERSELF: “It never frustrated me. I never got upset behind it. For what reason? Why get upset because someone said you were gay or called you gay? That should upset me? Then it would be something negative to me, and it’s not. It’s just another rumor, like all the rest of them.”

Janet FOREVER!!!
While I worked in a clothing store for a month, we only had one dvd to play on the screen, and it was one of Janet's, including all her best known videos.
I just fell in love with this gal right then and there.
I'm a fan now, and I haven't heard much of her lately, so I hope she's doing ok!
But then...No news is good news!
Lately all the celeb news I get makes me want to put a bullet in my head. It's all redundant stories of artists and their substance addictions.
I'm over it, have been for a long time.
Luckily Janet isn't part of that tedious scene...she keeps it real.
