This Gorgeous & Unexpected Cover Of The 'Friends' TV Theme Song Might Leave You In Tears

I would've never in a million years or Cher's lifetime thought that the jangly-guitar uber 90s Rembrandts tune "I'll Be There For You" might leave my eyes welling with tears. Well, thanks to three Irish musicians, Glenn Murphy, Oisin O'Callaghan and Ronan Scolard, one of the best-known TV theme songs (if not THE best-known TV theme song) gets turned on its head. Here, instead of upbeat optimism, Murphy, O'Callaghan and Scolard share a gorgeous song full of penetrating yearning that risks leaving even the most hardened of 90s TV fans in tears.

What do you think of the Friends theme cover? Does it make me a sadist if I request this exact version to be played at my funeral?
