Russian Teen Waving LGBT Flag Tackled By Police And Olympic Officials

Is this what we can expect during the Sochi Olympics?

Russian teen Pavel Lebedev is taken to the ground and detained by Russian police for waving a rainbow flag during a Russian Olympic torch relay through Voronezh, Russia.

It's important to note Lebedev was detained by both Russian police AND Olympic security officials. Wonder what the International Olympic Committee has to say to explain that?

Watch!

Lebedev tells The Associated Press: “Hosting the games here contradicts the basic principles of the Olympics, which is to cultivate tolerance." He cites the “growing homophobia in Russia as the main reason for his protest.”

Think you'd feel safe as a gay person or gay supporter heading into Sochi, Instincters?

The police is asking what is this flag for, can u explain. And the boy is asking why is he being detained. He also wants the police to let go of the flag.

I wanna know if anybody has seen the boy after this happened? It takes a lot of courage to do what he did there !! RESPECT Lebedev !!

Does anyone know what is being said?

Well? What the fuck happened?
