Miley Debuts Jaw-Dropping New Look For W Magazine Cover
In a week of debuts, W Magazine will release its first ever "social media" issue, and on its cover, a barely recognizable made-over Miley Cyrus. Miley, who sports bleached hair that falls below her chin for the first time in a few years in the cover shot photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, is interviewed by media IT boy Ronan Farrow.
“You know, I’ve made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It’s fine. I’ve got a house, and I’ve got dogs that I love. I don’t need anything else,” 21-year-old Miley Cyrus tells W’s Ronan Farrow on a recent evening at her home in Los Angeles. In his inaugural assignment for W, Farrow speaks with the former Disney-star about her turn towards controversial pop icon.
“I don’t give a shi,” Cyrus says, when asked about the negative press surrounding her tour, such as the accusation that she is exploiting her minority back up dancers. “I’m not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl, and a white girl, to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright colored T-shirts. You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement. Anyone that hates on you is below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have.”
W Mag's March 2014 issue hits stands on February 8.
