Which State's Governor Says Marriage Equality 'Won't Be Addressed Anytime Soon'??

Which state won't be addressing marriage equality anytime soon?

According to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, don't expect it to be the hot topic of conversation in the state.

The Huffington Post reports:

Gov. Scott Walker (R) said at a weekend conference in Milwaukee.

"To change anything in the constitution ... it requires two consecutive sessions of the legislature, and ultimately, a vote of the people,” Walker said, noting that Wisconsin voters adopted a gay marriage ban to the state constitution in a 2006 vote. “I just don't see that as being anything that's going to be addressed anytime soon."

Sounds like a challenge to us, Governor.

Congrats to the above writer and his husband.  Wish you guys all the very best.  From what I've seen of Governor Walker, this doesn't surprise me.  We have the same fun loving people here in Tennessee.  But I look forward to the day that my fellow Tennesseans can get married just like their straight counterparts.  That will be a day to celebrate!

Same sex couples living in Wisconsin now have 13 states in which to legalize their marriage.  If they do decide to relocate for this reason, they will take their talents and money with them.  Bob and I live in one of those states, and we now have the same legal benefits and protections as our straight neighbors.  Not only that, getting legally married feels really good.
