Transgender Models Featured In Barneys Campaign Share Their Stories In Bruce Weber Short Film

Earlier this month we introduced to you to "Brothers, Sisters, Sons, & Daughters," the Spring 2014 Barneys New York Campaign featuring 17 transgender models photographed by Bruce Weber.

We promised you a longer version of the Bruce Weber-directed short film that we provided a clip from and now we have it!

Check it out!

Weber was deeply affected shooting the campaign, saying:

"I would say it’s a sitting that really changed the course of my life, in a way. Because, I don’t know, the older I get, I want to do photographs and make films about things that are going to make people think about things."

What do you think of Weber's film, Instincters?

Well done.  Hope to show it at Schenectady Pride (NY) this summer.

This is a really interesting story and video. It is more about self acceptance than public acceptance. However, it is also good that transgender people are becoming more acceptable, in general, within most communities. The general public is slowly becoming more tolerant of each other, and our differences. Life is so short, and everyone should be comfortable in their own skin. If they are not, they need to consider an alternative, like gender reassignment. It all comes down to the basic facts...........which is that people are people, and that we are here on earth for a limited amount of time. So, we should enjoy that time as much as possible. If gender reassignment will help someone to feel good about themself, go for it.

Amazing, I'm in tears.
