Boy Scouts Prepare To Kick Out Gay Eagle Scout, While Straight Twin Brother Remains

This may be the most easily pointed out example of discrimination within the Boy Scouts of America.

Seattle twin brothers, Liam and August Easton-Calabria, both earned their coveted Eagle Scout awards on Sunday, May 4, but there's a catch: Liam is gay, so while he managed to receive the BSA's highest honor, he's already on his way to being forced out of the organization that's he's participated in alongside his straight twin brother since they were 11-years-old.

Seattle's KOMO reports

Liam says:

"It was an interesting revelation to see the Boy Scouts come together as a non-inclusive organization," Liam said. "I don't think it's true to the scouting way. I mean, absolutely, scouting should be an inclusive organization."

He also holds out hope that some day his own children will be able to participate in scouting along with him:

"It's really, really important to me, and I'm going to do as much as I can, to see my children in scouting with me involved," Liam said.

What do you think of this latest blatant act of discrimination?

The BSA just doesn't want the gay one hitting on other boys. Or making them feel uncomfortable. You know the gay-male agenda...trying to flip straight guys over to their team.

No wonder your name is anonymous.  I wouldn't want to be associated with your lies either.  Too bad you can't spell.

If I was the straight twin I would be going too.  You don't want my brother, you can't have me!

The scout law

Do I need to say more

I was in the scouting movement in UK from 11 till 16 yrs of age thankfully the UK scouting movement ( and the original and true scouting movement) never had a problem with gay people infact it was very supportive of me

Such a shame because of close minded people. Hopefully one day soon the policy will change and the elders leave and fresh blood takes their place.

Perhaps this can help to expose the BSA as to how utterly silly their thinking is.

Just when you think the BSA has finally "got it", they continue to prove otherwise. This gives confusing and mixed messages to the members they're supposed to be moulding into the adults of tomorrow..perpetuating hatred, bigotry and the uneducated society that we keep hoping is finally maturing.

Shame on you BSA, SHAME

And yes, I'm a former member.
