Did Soap Star Greg Rikaart Tweet His Coming Out?
Looks like this week’s historic Supreme Court rulings not only inspired some gay Americans to get engaged, but some have come out! The Young and the Restless star Greg Rikaart tweeted his enthusiasm over the DOMA and Prop. 8 rulings, with the message: “Not getting married anytime soon, but celebrating #equality tonight nonetheless.” Accompanying the Tweet was a picture of the Emmy winner and an equally handsome (boy)friend, seen below.
Rikaart previously spoke to TV Guide about the gay rights movement, noting “I am proud to stand up and be an advocate for LGBT rights. This is the last hurdle of the civil rights movement. I’m glad this is such a hot-button issue. I’m glad people are so impassioned about it, even the people who are against equality for all Americans because they are reacting out of fear, fear that the LGBT community is winning.”
Last year Rikaart also took on Days of our Lives actress Melissa Reeves (via Twitter, natch) after she publicly supported Chick-fil-A after the company's notorious anti-gay donations made news.
