Rep. Brian Sims Reacts To Governor's Comparison Of Same-Sex Marriage To Incest

Studly gay Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims reacted to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett's statement this morning that compared marriage equality to incest. Here's what Sims had to say via Facebook:

All day long I've been hearing about the Governor's comments earlier this morning comparing marriage equality to incest. In truth, I'm not giving him or his comments all that much thought and I encourage you to do the same.

No one, not even his own party, would argue that he’s an intellectual heavyweight or even a particularly thoughtful person. The larger issue is that despite the fact that the majority of Pennsylvanians disagree with him, he continues to be the heaviest hitter in Pennsylvania’s anti-equality crusade.

Our job isn’t just to be frustrated with the homophobia coming from the Governor’s Mansion, it’s to do everything we can to ensure that his chapter in Pennsylvania’s political history is as sad and short as his record on schools, economic development and civil rights.

Tom Corbett has been a disaster for Pennsylvania for so many reasons and I hope this fuels your resolve to vote him out of office.

We're sorry. Did he say something? We got lost in his beard. Happily.

What do you think of Rep. Sims's statement, Instincters?

Tommy Boy is up for reelection next year, my SOB governor is up for reelection THIS YEAR. I hope there's a positive trend growing that the good citizens of both states are Fed Up with this kind of government and do the right thing. We'll see.....

Sims kept his cool and Stuck with the subject at hand.  He let the prick show his hatred and homophobia get the best of him.

Brian's statement says it all.  Corbett has got to go.  If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would help (shove) him out the door.

This just raises him all the more highly in my estimation (and that has NOTHING to do with his hotness, REALLY).  To refuse to stoop to the governor's level - except the "intellectual heavyweight comment (VERY WELL PUT) - and contain his condemnation to the governor's other shortcomings as a political leader shows not just a strong sense of humanity and integrity, but a clearly very strong grasp of his state's situation and needs.
