Vladimir Putin Wants Gays To Feel Welcome At Olympics

If this is Vladimir Putin's way of making us feel welcome, we'd hate to see how he treats an uninvited guest.

According to Reuters:

President Vladimir Putin, seeking to defuse criticism over his treatment of gay people in Russia, said everyone will be welcome in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

"We are doing everything, both the organizers and our athletes and fans, so that participants and guests feel comfortable in Sochi, regardless of nationality, race or sexual orientation" Putin told Thomas Bach, the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), on Monday.

You know, Vladimir, there is one thing you could do that would go a long way in making gay people "feel comfortable" in Russia both during the Sochi Olympics and beyond:

Repeal the anti-gay propaganda law.

No? Still feeling uncomfortable.

Follow the money, honey ! ! !        We do have 'purchasing power' . . .  just ask Bertolli the pasta maker.   Cocoa-Cola was protested here in Atlanta Georgia today.

You mean Barilla right? Bertolli has made gay friendly ads before...

People spending their money in Russia are welcome. Even if they are gay. But what happens to the rights of the gay people in Russia. NOBODY should go to, or invest in Russia until they change the anti-gay propaganda law !!
