Sing For Your Supper
He sings! He slices! He’s working with Tim Burton yet again! Yes, Johnny Depp has stepped away from his not-so-ambiguously gay, swishbuckling alterego, Captain Jack, just long enough to headline fare perhaps even more gay. Based on the brutal but beautiful Stephen Sondheim classic, this Golden Globe-winning movie musical is full of rich atmosphere, soaring lyrics, black humor and—atypical of most movie musicals—blood. If you want your very own two-disc Sweeney Todd DVD (available April 1 from Paramount Home Entertainment) to sing along to, then write us an original verse or two about the delicious Depp or send us a picture of the worst haircut you ever got. The first 10 entries that inspire us to laughter—or tears—will win.
Send an e-mail to prizepatrol@instinctmagazine.com; or mail a postcard with your name, address, daytime phone number, e-mail address (and the required materials to meet the contest requirements) specifying the contest month/issue to: “Instinct Prize Patrol” INSTINCT, PO Box 16269, North Hollywood, CA 91615-6269 by 4/30/08. Winners will be notified by mail or e-mail after 30 days. For full contest rules, please visit: instinctmagazine.com/prizepatrolrules
