{mosimage h=100}In keeping with the new Bond's metrosexual leanings, quite possibly the world's most famous out gay designer, Tom Ford, was tapped to design much of the character's wardrobe in the new film A Quantum of Solace. (Actually, is Marc Jacobs the world's most famous out gay designer? Or is it—gasp—Christian Siriano? I'm not quite sure who wins that title. Ford at least seems to be the one most prone to making out with mannequins.) Anyway, the announcement came today:
This is a coup for Ford, who has been in the works on his own brand, with a flagship store launched in New York last year to much hoopla—and criticism. But when you're the ex-designer of Gucci and YSL, you probably are used to the catty drama of the fashion world, and the more people talk about you the more likely you'll get them to keep ponying up $500 for your sunglasses. But for the record, Tom Ford's Black Orchid Voile de Fleur fragrance collection includes "Purple Patchouli." You can't get any more out than that without splashing the purple patchouli in your butt crack.
