Get your 3-D TVs, surround sound and professional ear plugs ready -- Mary Murphy is bringing the Hot Tamale Train back to So You Think You Can Dance!

According to TV guru Michael Ausiello, SYTYCD producer Nigel Lythgoe wants to reinject energy into the faltering series for its eighth season, starting with Mary re-joining the permanent judge lineup!

“I am thrilled and already dancing in my seat to be back as a permanent judge this season, which I’m sure will be the best ever," Mary said.

Smart decision, Nigel!

Reason #4,278 we LOVE soccer studs: because they train together -- shirtless, naturally -- in their skivvies on the beach during off-season. Thanks OhLaLa Mag for bringing this little known football fact to our attention.

Ricky Martin has become quite the activist since officially coming out. The new Ricky is even apparent in his music according to the video for his first single since the life-changing event, "The Best Thing About Me Is You." Hate to say it (and I'll never chastise his courageous public fight for LGBT rights) but I miss the old shallow, hip-shaking, low-common denominator music he became known for. At least is his pure sex appeal hasn't changed.

Updated Monday, January 10, 3 p.m. EST

Chris Mason, director of the LGBT group Progressive Approach, is organizing a counter-protest of the upcoming Westboro pickets in Tucson to raise money for an anti-violence organization. For more details and information on supporting the event, head here

"The WBC is protesting the funerals because they believe God sent the shooter to punish America for its tolerance of LGBT people. During their own protest, the Westboro Baptist Church will in fact be raising money for Wingspan, the Anti-Violence Project of Southern Arizona. The website, http://Phelps-A-Thon.com is collecting pledges online for every minute WBC pickets the funeral. The longer they protest, the more money they will raise."

Science has found that good music inspires a cocaine-like reaction in the brain.

For an article published today in Nature Neuroscience, researchers tested the dopamine levels (the chemical that provides pleasure) of study participants exposed to the music they describe as their favorite. When listening to music they like, dopamine levels of those studied increased on average from 6 - 9%, a "high" that scientists say is comparable to that of eating an exceptionally good meal.

"If music-induced emotional states can lead to dopamine release, as our findings indicate, it may begin to explain why musical experiences are so valued," said Valorie Salimpoor, leader of the study at McGill University in Montreal. "These results further...

The Portuguese model charged with the horrific murder and corkscrew-castration of prolific gay journalist Carlos Castro has confessed to the crime, saying he committed the act in the hopes of expelling the "homosexual demons" from whom police believe to be his lover.

"He said he did it to get rid of [Castro's] homosexual demons," a police source told media.

Though 20-year old Renato Seabra denies it, friends of the pair say they had been dating for months. Castro's body was found on Friday at a Manhattan hotel and Seabra has been held in custody since.
