Simon Cowell's American Idol-killer wants to grab some judge speculation headlines of its own, doing just that with recent reports that Will Smith and Nicole Scherzinger have signed on the dotted line to star as judges on the American version of The X-Factor alongside Simon himself.

Though I'm excited to see how American Idol's new panel lines up, I can honestly say that the three X-Factor mainstays look great on paper and will probably share a more entertaining chemistry. I could be wrong.

To keep it interesting, Simon plans to use a tactic from Idol seasons 2 and 3 (and a few others, if I recall correctly) by featuring a different guest judge weekly. Mariah Carey, Zac Efron, Willow Smith, George Michael and Jon Bon Jovi are...

To raise awarenes for its Gays and Lesbians Adorn the World campaign, the Serbian-based Gay And Lesbian Info Centre (GLIC) is hoping they do.

We all know that Betty White's return to the top can be accredited to a Facebook Page campaign. But the effect's of the latest social network awareness-raising trend -- changing one's profile picture to coincide with the cause of the day -- are ambiguous.

Still, the GLIC is asking that those in support of World Human Rights Day (more on it here) on Friday, December 10 add a picture of a well-known LGBT leader as their profile pic to call attention to the group's new campaign.

We did it to fight bullying, we did it to fight child abuse, and we'll surely keep changing our pictures. But ...

If there ever was a reason to publish two Quote/Unquote features in a single day, it comes from straight ally and gorgeous songstress Nelly Furtado, who recently vocalized her support for marriage equality.

“I’m proud to live in Canada, a country that supports gay marriage, because I can speak openly about it to my child,” Nelly says in South Florida's She magazine. “Children shouldn’t be raised in a bubble. There’s nothing wrong with it, so why wouldn’t I treat it as normal?”

Though investigators have determined that Derrick Burts became infected with HIV in a nonprofessional manner in October of this year, the porn performer insists that he contracted the disease during an oral scene in gay porn. Because the only way you can get HIV is from gay men or some other ignorant faulty logic.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Derrick announces that his real-life girlfriend (who is also a performer in the industry) has remained negative, and industry experts investigating the case have found that all of Derrick's past costars (from both straight and gay films) have a negative status as well. But it's still the gays!

Aside from the blame game, there is some good news to arrive out of this story: Derrick...

The HRC offshoot organization New Yorkers for Marriage Equality continues its impressive celebrity streak with a new video featuring Whoopi Goldberg.

“What do you care who's sleeping with who or who marries who?” asks the co-host of The View in the video. “What do you care? Does it affect your day? I don't think it does, but what does affect your day is the fact that keeping certain people not equal as Americans, kind of messes us up, you know, as Americans.”

Nobody is safe from Barbara Walters this year, including the richest woman in the world, Oprah. To tease us before we get all of the big O, ABC has provided a sneak peek of Thursday's Barbara Walters Special: Oprah The Next Chapter today, including a clip of the two gals touching upon the lesbian rumors. (Watch a preview of the special after the jump.)

Here's what Oprah had to say:

"I'm not a lesbian ... I'm not even kind of a lesbian," Winfrey said. "And the reason why it irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I'm lying. That's number one. Number two ... why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life."

Us!!

True Blood's Alexander Skarsgård and Stephen Moyer had a little manly contest going on throughout the end of 2010. But before you get your AussieBums all in a knot, the sizes that the two hunky vampires were comparing involved how much each could raise for charity. The winner of the contest was allowed to design shirts for both actors to sport in a photo, as, if you're like us, you've been pouring your eye-sockets over here.

Though we'd like to paint ourselves the winner simply for being able to witness these two hunky actors wearing shirts as brazen and erotic as these (they could have been designed by our dream factory itself!), it's pretty obvious that Stephen helped his charity (the Gulf Relief Foundation) walk away with the biggest...
