If you watched this year's New Year's Eve with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin on CNN, you know that Kathy upped her ante considerable from the dick jokes of years past. Hardcore drug references, many quips depicting hottie Anderson Cooper pleasuring himself in front of the mirror and a joyful, happy new year f-bomb marked Kathy's glorious return to the network's special. And we enjoyed every tawdry second of it. CNN, not so much.
At the beginning of the broadcast Kathy waved around a contract that was nearly as heavy as our new year's day hangover, and described the lengthy list of items she could not legally emit during the broadcast. Guess the f-bomb was one of them as now Popeater is reporting that Kathy Griffin is banned by... FULL STORY

Wanna know if the size 30 jeans you want to help motivate you toward your new year resolution is manufactured by a homo-lovin' fashion conglomerate? Buying for Equality can likely tell you!

Callie's fun, cute relationship with lady doc Arizona on Grey's Anatomy is playing well with viewers. So well that Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona, has just officially been brought on to the show full-time after a year as a guest star. I've loved this couple from the start and apparently so has Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie, as she told The Daily News, "I was excited that they decided to go down that road because I’m a big supporter of the GLBT community. So it fits me just fine. I love challenging the status quo. I grew up in New York for God’s sake—the most diverse city in the world, and Callie, she’s a part of that!”
Along with Capshaw, ABC also announced that Kim Raver and Kevin McKidd's guest roles are becoming permanent... FULL STORY

Tags: tv land, high school reunion, bullies, harassment, eric, bully An upcoming episode of TV Land's High School Reunion might provide some catharsis for those of us who were taunted, harassed or worse by homophobic bullies in high school.
On Wednesday's episode, the reality show gets dramatic when Eric "The Gay Guy" approaches the bully that taunted him during high school, demanding an apology. We can't wait to find out what happens, but luckily TV Land provides a preview.

If you were ever bullied and had the opportunity to speak with them as an adult, what might you say?

Eminem has been coming clean about his relationship with the gay community, whether it's over purported homophobic lyrics or his friendship with Elton John.
Eminem, who performed with Elton at the 2001 Grammy Awards, spoke with MTV News about the unlikely frienship.
Regarding the Grammy performance, Eminem said, "
"I was like, 'The only way I'll perform at the Grammys is with Elton John.' And I was saying it in kind of jest, thinking it would never happen. The idea of it started becoming more, 'OK, this is a way to really flip it around and really f--- people's heads up."
Yet Eminem maintains he was unaware of Elton John's sexuality before the performance.
"Of course, I heard of Elton John. I didn't know he was gay. I didn't know anything... FULL STORY

...and it includes Cyndi Lauper!
But the real curiosity might involve whether or not the just-announced cast of Celebrity Apprentice can garner the same attention that the incomparable Joan Rivers did in the previous incarnation of Donald Trump's hit.
The full cast includes:
Darryl Strawberry, Cyndi Lauper, Bret Michaels, Sharon Osbourne, Michael Johnson, Holly Robinson Peete, Goldberg, Carol Leifer, Sinbad, Summer Sanders, Rod Blagojevich, Maria Kanellis, Curtis Stone and Selita Ebanks.

While not quite magical wands and butterfly-shaped confetti, Mariah's high-maintenance diva side revealed more of itself over the weekend. At a sold-out gig at Atlantic City's Borgata, Mariah reportedly had stagehands bring a chaise lounger to the stage so that the (deserved) diva could have her people retouch her makeup and hair, and pour a glass of bubbly in front of the audience. While reclining on the chaise, Mariah asked the audience, ""Do they expect me to stand up for the whole show? They call me a diva... because I am."
Mariah also reportedly requested 10 baggage carts to carry in her luggage for her Saturday night stay and performance. Fabulous!

She's a woman of her words and convictions, that Lady Gaga. Sure, we all know she speaks out against homophobia and marches for GLBT rights, but our Lady of the Gays took her support to a new more aggressive level over the weekend.
After performing at a club in Ottawa, a drunken bigot allegedly approached Gaga as she danced with friends to accuse the star of being a man and drop the f-bomb next to friend Adam Lambert's name.
The quick-witted pop star responded, “Well, that’s your opinion, isn’t it? And I’m not about to waste my time trying to change it.”
But the drunk continued his tirade by calling Gaga and Lambert freaks, and condemning them to hell.
“Okay, that’s it. Call me anything you want, but when you start... FULL STORY

We joyously reported the lifting of the U.S. ban on HIV positive travelers late last year. Today marks the first day the monumental occasion becomes tangible as an HIV positive Dutchmen—the first positive traveler to land in the States since the ban was enacted in 1987—prepares to arrive at JFK.
Clemends Rulan and Hugo Bausch left The Netherlands earlier today for the historic landing stateside. Before his trip, Rulan penned an editorial for the Netherlands' Soa Aids Centre for HIV, writing, “"Free to travel, to hug, share, love and once more be united . . . Alive and proud . . . I turn to you, America. America, here I come; Come as I am."
