Some interesting highlights of the analysis, released today, include:

Massachusetts, the first state to permit marriage for same-sex couples in 2004, had an estimated 3.63 same-sex spousal couples per 1,000 households in 2008, ranking first among all states. Vermont, which has offered civil unions since 2000, ranked second at 2.71.The remaining top five states ranked by same-sex spouse prevalence were Hawaii (2.43), Utah (2.32), and Wyoming (2.28). We can't wait for Nov. 12's Shepard Fairey Equality Project kick-off here in L.A. (we told you about it a few week's back). So to hit our fair Fairey fairy spots (it's a mouthful, but we like those...) until then, we have pictures from OBEY (Fairey's apparel extension) and Levi's apparel launch party in Times Square. Enjoy!

We always think it's good to see the transcripts from important speeches, just in case we miss anything. This transcript comes directly from the Office of the Press Secretary at the White House.

President Obama: "We often speak about AIDS as if it's going on somewhere else.  And for good reason —this is a virus that has touched lives and decimated communities around the world, particularly in Africa.  But often overlooked is the fact that we face a serious HIV/AIDS epidemic of our own -- right here in Washington, D.C., and right here in the United States of America.  And today, we are taking two important steps forward in the fight that we face here at home.

It has been nearly three decades since this virus first became known.  But ...
