Aaron Carter Just Compared Himself To Taylor Swift!
If the first person you picture when you think of Aaron Carter is Taylor Swift, then you have something in common with Aaron Carter, who compares himself to his fellow international singing sensation in the new issue of US Weekly. Carter has enjoyed a career resurgence since coming out as bi-sexy back in August. And while his personal life - including publicly admitted weight struggles and a tearful onstage breakdown - has taken center stage over the past months, now the singer/songwriter is here to talk about his musical process, most notably how it relates toT-Swift's:
Turning 30, you know I have goals and aspirations. All of those require my attention for music and I’m telling you man, I live in a studio,t’s the safest place for me, and very therapeutic. I mean, I recorded ‘Don’t Say Goodbye,’ the vocals here for my single in this actual room. I mean, sometimes I’ll just get the urge just to write music, but the thing about me that’s weird is I’m kind of like a Taylor Swift but not really.
No for real. It’s because I write when I feel almost sad, and produce. I produce music when I almost feel like depressed or something like that. It’s just my out. It’s just been my way of resting my mind and that’s how all these songs came about. They all came about … they’re about ex-girlfriends that didn’t work out and I wrote songs about them while I was with them, trying to get them to understand what they were doing to me.
Teardrops on my Shaq? I'm envisioning a collab in the future and I am not hating it one bit! When I read "girlfriends" in Aaron's quote I immediately thought that our twink graduate was backpedaling on his bisexual confession, but Carter talks the possibility of life with a man when he continues with:
I was thinking about adopting. I want kids so bad. I turned 30 and I’m like, ‘Alright, my resolution is to have a kid.’ But not just a kid. A beautiful woman or man, because we can have kids too.
It's great to see that our songstress is getting attention for his music instead of his personal life, and I can't wait to hear what he comes out with! Watch your back Swift!
