Anderson Cooper Rejected Andy Cohen For First Blind Date!
Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are doing the ho stroll leading up to their New Year's Eve hosting gig, and while you guys aren't as into these two as I thought you would be (FOR GOOD REASON, I GET IT) I'm still a thirsty skank, and I still want Cooper/Cohen fan fiction to be the next Fifty Shades of Grey. And these new deets are certainly providing some inspo! While chatting it up with Trump's BFF Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the two silver foxes dished on the first time they almost met, with Anderson stating:
We were actually set up on a blind date. You know when straight people know two gay guys, they’re like, ‘Oh you guys should meet.’ We had a phone call to set up the date, I was a young reporter at NBC, he was at CBS. And I knew within 45 seconds, I was never going on a date with Andy Cohen.
I imagined him on a Bluetooth headset and gesticulating. He was all excited. And he violated my cardinal rule, which is he asked me about my mom within the first minute of talking to me.
Sounds about right. Cohen adds:
I wanted to date the Vanderbilt boy! I was excited!
I would say that these two got started together on an awkward foot, but to feel awkward one needs shame, and that isn't something I think Cohen posses. Just the way I like 'em! Are these guys still dead to you because of Kathy-gate, or will you still tune in this New Year's Eve to see if they drunkenly maul each other at the stroke of midnight? Let us know in the comments!
