Bastille Mashes-Up Two '90s Dance Hits In "Of The Night" Music Video

Our love for Brit boys Bastille is no secret. We selected "Pompeii" as one of our favorite songs of 2013, regularly turn into a tween girl whenever lead singer Dan Smith is on TV (this spring's SNL performance come to mind) and had pegged "Of The Night" to be a Song of Summer 2014 contender before this week's video release.

The group's latest single mashes-up two of the '90s most energetic and uplifting dance tracks—Corona's "The Rhythm of the Night" and  Snap!'s "Rhythm Is a Dancer. Bastille's version, while still electronic with a heavy syncopated dance rhythm, is a deep, contemporary take on some of the biggest club hits of the Clinton decade; still, we were pleasantly surprised by the dark storyline the brand-spank-us new music video took to show it off and we think you will be, too.

What do you think of the new video and homage to '90s dance music from one of the biggest groups on radio?

I freaking love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's brilliant

The video is EPT.  Extreme poor taste.

Loved the song.. Video is a bit dark and was that guy they pulled out of the pool Joseph Morgan from the originals?

I prefer the originals
