Benham Brothers: We Don’t Want To Live In 'Bizarro World' Where We Can’t Discriminate Against Gays
Unafraid of sounding like imbeciles, the Benham Brothers have returned to continue with their homophobic message of hate.
Last Friday, the twins rallied alongside other antigay activists in North Carolina to call on Gov. Pat McCrory to nullify a nondiscrimination ordinance that was recently passed by the Charlotte City Council.
Calling the ordinance a direct attack on Christianity, David Benham says:
"We sure hope the governor and General Assembly will do what is right.”
Going on to say that it is a “bizarro world” where Christians can’t legally discriminate against LGBTQ people.
The ordinance is set to go into effect April 1 unless Gov. McCrory steps in.
Calling it an urgent matter, the Benham brothers and their fellow protestors would like the Governor and special assemble to call a special session to nullify the ordinance. That session would cost taxpayers an estimated $42,000 a day, and could result in the repeal of all local nondiscrimination ordinances across the state of North Carolina.
“Mark our words, if this goes through, my company and others will be targeted!”
Gov. McCrory has called for action against the ordinance, though he has stated that he does not want to hold a special session to review the matter.
