BREAKING: Judge Rules New Jersey Must Allow Gay Couples To Marry

Sorry about it Chris Christie. You've been overruled!

A New Jersey judge has just ruled the state must allow same-sex marriage!

The Associated Press reports:

Judge Mary Jacobson says now that the federal government recognizes gay marriages, not doing so in New Jersey would violate the state constitution.

It's not immediately clear when marriages could begin or whether the state government will appeal to a higher-level state court.

Gov. Chris Christie is opposed to gay marriage, and his administration is expected to appeal.

In Friday's ruling, the judge accepted the position of lawyers from gay rights groups that the state is now blocking citizens from receiving federal benefits.

___________

Think Gov. Christie will drag this out? Or will same-sex marriages soon be happening in the Garden State??

The judge has ordered them to begin on October 21!

Looking forward to the remaining states following suit!

THANK YOU JUDGE MARY JACOBSON  NEW JERSEY NEEDED THIS FOR A VERY LONG TIME.GOV.CHRIS CHRISTIE  IT WILL BE A GOOD THING FOR EVERYONE CONCERENED JUST GO WITH IT..STOP WASTING THE COURTS TIME..

Hey - if he just rolls with it, NJ will get a bump in tourism.  I am sure after Sandy they need all the help they can get.

he wants to be re-elected. If he goes for the appeal it's a guarantee he will lose the Gay Vote (including mine). He can pander to the radical hetro-marriage base that it was a judges order that will not be cost effective to fight any longer.
