Caitlyn Jenner Says She May Run For US Senate
After hinting at political aspirations, reality star Caitlyn Jenner says she might run for U.S. Senator in the state of California.
She tells New York's AM 970:
"I have considered it. I like the political side of it.
"I gotta find out where I can do a better job," she said. "Can I do a better job from the outside, kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talk to anybody? Or are you better off from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that."
Jenner, a lifelong Republican, would next be eligible to run for state Senate in 2018.
But can she unseat Democrat incumbent Dianne Feinstein?
The former Olympic gold-medalist came out in support of Donald Trump, last year.
And though for a brief moment she withdrew her support for the president, Jenner later clarified that she does not regret giving Trump her vote.
In May, she told the BBC:
“I’ve always been on the Republican side, just because I’m more conservative in my thinking… Trump was our candidate so obviously I’m gonna vote that way."
