Canadian Football Team Changes Logo To Rainbow To Support LGBT Community

The BC Lions -- Vancouver's representative team in Canada's Football League -- have long been allies to the LGBT rights movement. But over the weekend, in honor of Vancouver Pride, the popular pro team made perhaps the loudest proclamation of LGBT support yet by changing its entire logo to rainbow on Facebook. 

The incredible show of support from a professional sports team was met with a hearty round of applause from BC Lions fans (imagine if this were the NFL we were talking about!), and turned into a positive moment and action for everyone involved. 

Lions receiver Marco Iannuzz extracted the same good vibes in early 2014 when he contributed to the You Can Play project. Here's his video:
