Catholic Group Blames Marriage Equality For Devastating Illinois Tornadoes

Robert Ritchie, executive director of America Needs Fatima, is asking Catholics to reflect upon blaming marriage equality for the late-season tornadoes that spread destruction throughout much of southern Illinois over the weekend. According to Ritchie, god is outraged about loving same-sex couples being deemed equal in the state and there is absolutely no other mystical explanation for the weather pattern.

In a blog posted to his group's website, Ritchie writes:

Do you think the massive Illinois tornadoes are linked to the passing of the same sex “marriage” bill?

The massive tornadoes that hit Illinois after the passing of the same sex “marriage” bill, has stimulated many people to reflection.

In it, some see God’s chastisement; others see it as yet one more merciful warning from Providence; others yet deny both options and give various reasons.

The tornadoes struck rural "Downstate" Illinois, largely known for being red, conservative and a force that held back against marriage equality as much as it could. So, if the tornadoes are a message of any kind, they're a message for those who fiercely fought against same-sex marriage.

Ritchie goes on to link to "Is The Voice of God Resounding in Recent Catastrophes," an article that blames the cause of other natural disasters on homosexuality.

I had no idea that we are so powerful that we can in any way influence The Voice of God.  WOW!!
