A Dozen Chers And Hunky Sailors Promote Sydney Mardi Gras

It's hard to miss Sydney Mardi Gras each and every year, but it'll be even more difficult to miss the international event next month thanks to a gaggle of Chers and the Australian Navy coming together to promote the party.

This Mardi Gras, it’s every Cher for herself!

As part of the Mardi Gras comes to Darling Harbour activations, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras commissioned Cher The Love, recreating the Cher classic ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ onboard the HMAS Vampire, against the stunning backdrop of Darling Harbour and the Sydney skyline. The production features a troop of dancing Cher’s, lead by Vanity Faire, and supported by over one hundred volunteer Sailors.

The full video clip is intended as a loving tribute to a legendary pop artist who has demonstrated passionate support for LGBTQI rights throughout her career, and also as a celebration and thanks to the many LGBTQI people who continue to serve our country as members of the Australian Navy.
