Is E! Pulling The Plug On "Fashion Police"?
E!'s Fashion Police has had a rough year. The show hasn't quite regained its footing after having the floor pulled out from under it with the unexpected loss of Joan Rivers. Giuliani Rancic's off-color remarks about dreadlocks only further shook things up, and gave Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin an easy out.
Now, according to a statement issued by the network late Tuesday, Fashion Police is going on a lengthy "hiatus" to reassemble itself. But don't hold your breath waiting for it to return; chances are high that producers and the network are hoping the embattled show will just fade into obscurity.
According to the statement:
E!’s comedy series “Fashion Police” is going on hiatus and will return in September. We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of “Fashion Police” fans around the world.
What do you think E! should do? Refresh and rebrand the show ahead of the next awards season? Or let it go, let it go?
