Ellen Hosts Gay Iraqi Soldiers Who Fell In Love, Fled Their Country, And Got Married

gay Iraqi soldiers

Now this is heartwarming!

Former Iraqi soldiers, Nayyef and Btoo, are the subject of the recent documentary film, Out of Iraq.

The film chronicles the history of their relationship, starting with when they fell in love during the Iraq war, to then being separated for many years, before eventually being granted asylum in the west, and ultimately, getting married.

The couple, who currently reside in Seattle, work with LGBT youth who have similarly fled from the middle east, in search of a better life.

Ellen DeGeneres recently welcomed Nayyef and Btoo to her show.

“What would happen if your families knew you are gay?”

“It’s not going to be good,” said Nayyef. “I just want to tell them how much I love them. Especially my mom. I love her so much…but my happiness is with him, and I want to spend my whole life with him.”

You're a true ass! Ellen is no racist but you obviously are! I mean WTF is wrong with you? How does your racist mind go there? By the way they were Muslim! Not that it should make any difference? You need to get a life and stop being a worthless racist! Are you a Black Lives Matter Idiot? They are some of the only ones playing the race card in such stupid ways as to divide us more than being inclusive! I feel sorry for that sad little mind of yours!

They met in a hard time completely randomly a chance encounter that forged their love for each other. THis is how real loves comes by. When you are looking around the corner and there is no one there and suddenly on the day you least expect it when you aren't looking anymore he/she shows up. You appreciate them, you know there's no one else and you commit and become life long partners.

Love is not found through Tindr or Grindr. There is always hundreds of people around the corner that you lose sight of the things you should be appreciating, instead you look for faults and next or you simple size everyone up to a passing by fling. You don't have to deal with the akwardness of finding out if they are interested in you because if they are they simply click yes and woohoo you're in.

These guys have a truly classic love story and nobody who meeting on Tindr can share such a story. My only point to this is to stop incorporating technology into every aspect of your life, and go out and dare the real world. The best things are also the hardest things, they are not as easy as clicking hot or not.

I completly agree. Sometimes I talk with my friends about how hard it is to meet gay people because we are a minority and nowadays we use internet and gay bars. Look at them! They were in the worst place to be gay and they fell in love. What a lovely story!
