Facebook Launches Pride Emoticon

As we all know, nothing is official until it's Facebook official. So, thank Gaga that we can now officially feel Pride during National Pride Month through a just-added emoticon available in Facebook status updates!

Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg debuted the new addition to status updates on Wednesday after the Supreme Court ruling. "I'm proud that our country is moving in the right direction, and I'm happy for so many of my friends and their families.#PrideConnectsUs — feeling pride," Zuckerberg wrote.

Zuckerberg also promoted the #PrideConnectsUs hashtag that was launched when it was revealed earlier in the week that 70 percent of Facebook users are now connected to an out member of the LGBT community.
