Gay Couple Attacked In Chelsea "No Longer Feel Safe" In The Neighborhood

Peter Nortman and Michael Felenchak, the two men attacked in Chelsea earlier this week, understandably no longer feel safe in the gay neighborhood they call home.

”I’m not going to take that corner (for granted) anymore,” Peter, who has lived in Chelsea for 20 years, told reporters. “I’m going to walk up a little bit and see what’s going on. Because I was shocked that this happened on a street I called home.”

Early Friday, Peter and Michael joined Christine Quinn to hand out flyers featuring new sketches of suspects involved in the hate crime that left the couple battered and bloody.
