Gorgeous Gay Broadway Boyfriends Announced For New Season Of 'Survivor'
Two stars of stage will make the unusual pivot into reality TV, and we're all winners because of it.
Boyfriends Reed Kelly (Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark) and Josh Canfield (Natasha) have been announced as one of the couples competing in the upcoming Survivor: San Juan del Sur -- Blood vs. Water.
In an interview with EW.com, Reed compares Josh to infamous Survivor star Lisa Whelchel. “She was so great with the way she played,” says Kelly. “And the way she carried herself in the game was from such an honest place and a place of faith, which is very Josh, so I think that would be a great person to compare him to.”
We hope the boys are ready to make us proud as they'll be facing off one of the most vocal homophobic pro-athletes in the world, former MLB relief pitcher John Rocker. The anti-gay pitcher might best be known for an outrageously xenophobic Sports Illustrated interview in which he was asked what he thought about ever playing for New York. “I’d retire first. It’s the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the 7 train to the ballpark looking like you’re [riding through] Beirut next to some kid with purple hair next to some queer with AIDS right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It’s depressing… The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?”
Give it to him, Broadway boys!
