Grumpy Cat Visits Vogue

Watch out Anna Wintour (and maybe Sarah Jessica Parker, too), Grumpy Cat is coming for your terrible job. In celebration of her second birthday, Grumpy Cat did go-see's in New York and stopped in at a handful of big publications on Thursday. All of her highly important meetings are chronicled on her Twitter page, but her visit with Vogue is easily the most iconic.

Vogue gives us the news:

If you missed the news on Instagram, something big happened at Vogue yesterday. Or rather, something small, furry, and very, very grumpy. The Internet’s favorite meme subject,Grumpy Cat, stopped by our New York offices to celebrate her birthday (she turns two today). After meeting—and subsequently falling for—the famous feline at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas (yes, Grumpy was in attendance), Creative Digital Director Sally Singerasked her to stop by Vogue on her next trip to the city—and so she did. To say she was thrilled, though, would be quite the overstatement. In her characteristic grumpiness, she tweeted pictures of her visit, writing, “I went to @VogueMagazine once. It was awful.” Of course, Vogue editors felt a bit differently. Creative Director (and resident cat fanaticGrace Coddington said that Grumpy is “probably the most interesting person I’ve met this year.” There was a card—Coddington sketched herself with the Internet star, signing it “Happy Birthday, Grumpy. With love, Grace.” There was even a Cake Boss cake. But, apparently, not even Vogue could sweeten that trademark frown.
