Gus Kenworthy Plays 'Celebrity Famiy Feud' For LGBT Youth Charity

Out gay freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy made a recent appearance on Celebrity Family Feud

The athlete played on behalf of LGBT youth charity, the Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit organization established by pop star Miley Cyrus.

When I came out as gay to my family, they were completely loving and supporting. But unfortunately, that’s not a reality for a lot of LGBT youth, and so when they tell their parents a lot of kids end up on the streets and so the Happy Hippie Foundation is for LGBT at-risk youth.”

In response, show host Steve Harvey chimed in with his support for the cause:

“I guess I don’t get that part, you know?” he said. “If it’s my kid, it’s my kid. I don’t know how I would stop loving my kid, man. That ain’t getting ready to happen. Now if your ass ain’t working, you got to get out.”

Thank you Gus Kenworthy. I have to say that I'm surprised because I've seen Steve Harvey roll his eyes at the mention of anything gay.

I agree that Steve Harvey is not our number one supporter, and if homophobic humor was still accepted, he'd probably have a field day with it, but when it comes to family, it is what matters to him most, so I would trust his word when he says if it's your kid, it's your kid.
