Heart It Or Hate It: 'Blurred Lines' Gets Gender-Bending Cover From Mod Carousel (Video)

Things are getting quite queer in Mod Carousel's cover of "Blurred Lines," a title that seems very apropos in this case as the male burlesque trio, made up of Paris Original, Trojan Original and Luminous Pariah, blurs the generalized lines of gender and masculinity in the new clip!

With the sultry re-recorded vocals and modified lyrics, we feel it's a fun take on the Robin Thicke hit--but what do you think?? (FYI, the singer is Caela Bailey--and burlesque star Sydni Devereaux fills in for Pharrell!)

Mod Carousel explains:

"It's our opinion that most attempts to show female objectification in the media by swapping the genders serve more to ridicule the male body than to highlight the extent to which women get objectified and does everyone a disservice. We made this video specifically to show a spectrum of sexuality as well as present both women and men in a positive light, one where objectifying men is more than alright and where women can be strong and sexy without negative repercussions."

How do you feel about the "Blurred Lines" revamp, Instincters? Did Mod Carousel succeed? Heart it or hate it?
