We love J.K. Rowling, and her endless support of the LGBT community.

Most recently, the Harry Potter author tweeted in defense of out gay Olympic diver, Tom Daley.

Twitter trolls tried to suggest Daley's sexual orientation somehow led to his early exit from the 2016 Rio Olympic games

Although the 22-year-old had a strong early start, he failed to make the finals for 10m platform diving.

Mocking Daley, Christian Voice tweeted: “Turning gay doesn’t seem to have done Tom Daley any favours at #Rio2016.” Daley

Cue Rowling, to save the day!

She wrote:

“Can’t decide which is more offensive in this tweet, the stupidity or the spite."

Followers of Rolwing also chimed in, many making Harry Potter references:

Daley hinted that this wouldn't be the last go-round when he tweeted that he was “truly heartbroken,” but wouldn't “give up on my dream of being an Olympic champion.”

Daley told the BBC:

“I’m so happy with how GB have done, so proud to be part of it and I wanted to be able to stand on top of that podium, so it will be another four years’ hard work.

“Yesterday I scored the highest score ever in an Olympic Games. Today it wasn’t meant to be. That’s what diving does sometimes.

“I truly am heartbroken because I feel like I am in the peak physical condition and I could have won tonight.”

Daley's soon-to-be husband, Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black, also showed support for his athlete partner.screenshot-www.huffingtonpost.co.uk 2016-08-21 12-47-30

“We are all so proud of all you’ve achieved here in #Rio2016 @TomDaley1994. We fight again another day! ONWARD!”
