Kathy Griffin Exonerated By Secret Service For Decapitated Trump Photo

Kathy Griffin caused quite the stir when she shared a photo of herself, holding what was meant to look like Donald Trump's decapitated, blood covered head.

Although she apologized, the comedian would lose endorsement deals, her regular CNN New Year's Eve gig with friend and co-host Anderson Cooper, and be forced to cancel a number of upcoming shows.

She said:

“I sincerely apologize. I am just now seeing the reaction of these images. I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I moved the line, then I crossed it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career; I will continue. I ask your forgiveness.”

Now, two months later, the Secret Service has exonerated Griffin.

Recently, she tweeted:

With the controversy now behind her, we'll look forward to having Kathy Griffin back on stage, making us laugh.
