Anthony Rapp Claims Spacey Made Sexual Advances Against Him At 14!

Listen up because the tea is about to be spilled! I have been aching to tell you all about Kevin Spacey for weeks now after a series of tweets were released claiming he is a sexual predator. Journalist Heather Unruh alleged that the Oscar award winning Spacey sexually assaulted her loved one. Check out her tweet below:

Her simple tweet led to a long line of people commenting they are aware Spacey is a sexual predator. One even released photos of Spacey grabbing a young man’s rear. Check it out below:

Why is that young man’s rear so red? Suspect, right?! Alright, let’s move away from the gossip and get into the FACTS.

According to Buzzfeed, Anthony Rapp, film actor and singer best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in RENT, inspired by the allegations against Harvey Weinstein is speaking out letting the public know Hollywood has many kept secrets. Rapp claims in 1986, Spacey made sexual advances at him when he was…FOURTEEN YEARS OLD. Spacey, at the time, was 26. That’s my current age. I cannot even imagine having a conversation with a fourteen year old, let alone trying to be sexual with one.

Rapp tells:

“[I feel compelled to come forward] And not to simply air a grievance, but to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because many people, including myself, being silent. … I'm feeling really awake to the moment that we're living in, and I'm hopeful that this can make a difference."

Rapp also alleged that Spacey got him and another underage friend into the Limelight bar:

"I don't know how— We got in through the front door. We didn't have to show ID. And we sat with him in some VIP area. It was just a fun night just talking and hanging out," he said — and at some point, Spacey invited him to attend a party he was hosting a few days later at his Manhattan apartment.

Rapp, being excited to go to Spacey’s apartment for a party – ventured there – alone. This is the night that Spacey allegedly made the sexual advances on him – at fourteen years old:

“When he arrived at Spacey's apartment, Rapp quickly realized that he was the only nonadult there — which, again, did not worry him, since he so often had found himself in similar situations as a child actor. The bigger issue: "I didn't know anyone," he said. "And I was quickly kind of bored."

Rapp said he ended up wandering into the bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed, and watching TV well past midnight.

At some point, Rapp said he turned to see Spacey standing at the bedroom door. And that's when he first realized that everyone else had left the party. They were alone.

“My memory was that I thought, Oh, everybody's gone. Well, yeah, I should probably go home,” Rapp said. Spacey, he recalled, “sort of stood in the doorway, kind of swaying. My impression when he came in the room was that he was drunk.” Rapp doesn't remember Spacey saying anything to him. Instead, Rapp said, “He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don't, like, squirm away initially, because I'm like, 'What's going on?' And then he lays down on top of me.”

“He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp said. “I don't know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”

Rapp recalled this all happening — Spacey appearing at the door, coming into the room, picking him up, and putting him on the bed — in one clumsy action, with Spacey landing at a slight angle on top of him. He said Spacey “was, like, pressing into me,” and that he remembers Spacey “tightening his arms.” But while he can't recall exactly how long Spacey remained on top of him, Rapp said he was able to “squirm” away after a short period.

“It was a frozen moment,” Rapp said of the entire encounter, with a deep, exasperated sigh. “In terms of fight or flight or freeze, I tend to freeze.”

After pushing Spacey off him, Rapp remembered he was able to step into the bathroom and close the door. "I was like, 'What is happening?'” he said. “I saw on the counter next to the sink a picture of him having his arm around a man. So I think on some level I was like, Oh. He's gay. I guess. Then I opened the door, and I was like, 'OK, I'm going to go home now.' He followed me to the front door of the apartment, and as I opened the door to leave, he was leaning on the front door[frame]. And he was like, 'Are you sure you wanna go?' I said, 'Yes, good night,' and then I did leave."

As he walked home, “My head was spinning,” Rapp said. “I have a memory of turning around and [thinking], What was that? What am I supposed to do with it? What does it mean?

Rapp goes on to tell about seeing Spacey’s success after the incident. This is seriously cringeworthy.

The news got to Spacey immediately. He addressed Rapp’s story in an Instagram post – and guys – Kevin Spacey just came out of the closet publicly as a gay man for the first time in his life. Holy hell! Check out his Instagram post below!

Spacey apologizes if he acted inappropriately with Rapp. Is he using coming out of the closet to distract us from his sexual advances of a teenager? Hmm. What do you think!?

I implore you to read Rapp’s full statement on Buzzfeed.

  1. There is so much about this

There is so much about this that is sad.  Sad that Kevin Spacey makes the excuse that he was drunk. How many times have we heard that from supposedly straight men to rationalize a gay encounter? Where were the guardians of a 14 year old? But what is both sad and unfair is that Kevin Spacey had to hide his sexuality in order to have a career.

    • Brave Soul my butt. Why didn

Brave Soul my butt. Why didn't he say anything last month or 11 years ago or 23 years ago…or ever until this whole ME TOO crap started. What happened to innocent until proven guilty anyway? Just because someone accuses you of something doesn't make it so.These people are doing it for publicity.

      • Speaking from a victims

Speaking from a victims standpoint (because I've been one) sometimes its extremely difficult to report a rape or molestation, especially at a young age. You're confused, scared, don't think anyone would believe you. Then if you do get brave enough to tell, you are faced with people that are skeptics and call you names. Whatever happened to protecting the victim?? I had to listen to my grandmother call me and my sister and a cousin whores because we "tempted" our uncle into wanting to molest us. He started with me when I was 10… How does a 10 year old tempt? Seriously??

  4. Sorry but Rapp is going into

Sorry but Rapp is going into bars at the age of 14? He went to the party and there was nothing but KIDS there that he didn't know? He got bored so instead of just leaving, he goes UPSTAIRS to the BEDROOM to watch TV. Then when Spacey started to seduce him, again instead of leaving he goes into the BATHROOM. He WALKS home by himself AFTER midnight in NYC!! By all means what Spacey did was wrong but something just isn't right about this story comming out now.

  5. All of these opportunists

All of these opportunists that are jumping on the ME TOO BANDWAGON need to understand they are ruining people's careers, personal lives etc. I think ME TOO should be answered with PROVE IT. Anthony Rapp had Nothing to gain or lose by this story. But Kevin Spacey had everything to lose. This "MOVEMENT" is pathetic. And yes,WHY IS A 14 YEAR OLD BOY AT AN ADULT PARTY ALONE?

    • The kid was at a party alone,

The kid was at a party alone, because like so many other young children and families who have been baited, and manipulated by this very system, often include the parents' participation by some manner of degree, whether by being directly abusive themselves, or by general complacency.

I agree that claims should be thoroughly reviewed and speculated on, especially as the floodgates continue to poor open, but  I just have to point out that that your skepticism here laughably misplaced. Spacey is probably one of the most solid examples of Hollywood's institutionalization of pedophilia, and has been known for quite some time. Besides, this is the least of Spacey's worries. He's far more concerned about how he's going to explain his ties to the Clinton's and known/convicted paedophile Jerry Epstein, giving him rides to his private island on the "lolita express".

Good riddance. Let spacey burn with the rest of them.

  6. I’m conflicted about all of

I'm conflicted about all of this. Rumors about Kevin Spacey have circulated for years, both about his sexuality and his drinking. So folks who claim he is coming out to deflect attention have a point. However he is taking some responsibility, but before he is given too much credit, this would probably not pass the standard of criminal activity, certainly not the standards of 1986, so he has nothing to lose by admitting it. I do feel sorry for Rapp about what happened, and I wonder how a 14 year old was not supervised by a manager and would have allowed him to go to a party with adults. I can understand a 14 year old wanting to go, being allowed to go is another matter.

    • I’ve been thinking about that

I've been thinking about that very thing too: What was a fourteen year old doing at an after party without parental/adult supervision?  But, then I thought back to when I was fourteen and realized that if you're a "good kid" and normally don't get into trouble, it is very easy to lie to our parents to get out of the house.  How many of us told white lies to our parents/guardians to go to a party that we were not supposed to?  I'm sure plenty of us did and nothing seriously bad happened to us.  Since Mr. Rapp was active in the NYC-theater scene, it would have been very easy for him to do this.  This still does not alleviate Kevin Spacey's behavior, but explains why Anthony Rapp was there:  he was just being a stupid teenager as we all were at that age.

      • Most likely it was not a kid

Most likely it was not a kid lying to a parent. Kids in show business have managers who are supposed to protect their well being. Unless the parents were his manager,  the parents assumed supervision and probably it is in the agreement they signed. My guess is most kids in show business are very much like adults in their work ethic and maturity, but it's easy to forget they are kids which is why so many seem to be  victims of sexual predators.

  8. Kevin Spacey’s being gay has

Kevin Spacey's being gay has been an open secret for a very long time. It's a shame that it took Anthony Rapp's statement for him to finally acknowledge it.  I always thought Spacey was an extraordinary actor. I have great respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp.  I just hope some of these situations don't get out of hand in the era of 45.

I respect him too for taking responsibility for his actions. I hope Kevin can bounce back from this, its would be a sad day if he cant. Hes got my support.

  10. I respect him for sincerely

I respect him for sincerely apologizing and for taking responsibility for his behavior. A lesser man would have denied it and then attacked the accuser (Donald Trump behavior), but he chose to apologize instead.
