Listen: Adam Lambert Reveals New Sound With "Ghost Town"

The ghost town hasn't been quite so empty lately. Madonna returns to her roots in her current single, "Ghosttown," and Adam Lambert returns to the best parts of '90s house in his brand spank-us-new "Ghost Town," the debut track from his forthcoming album, The Original High

Also debuting here is a new sound for Adam, a sound that takes the most exciting parts of pop music's current genres and expertly mashes them together. The results will leave your jaw dropped.

But that's just me. What do you think of Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town"?

I wish he would have kept the "dance" aspect out of it.

Sounds like they borrowed a soundtrack from the XFiles.

I was expecting something different since Max Martin was working with him. Everything Max touches is pure, hook heavy, unapologetic pop. This seems like none of that. Maybe it will grow on me.

I agree 100%.   I love Max Martin's work, but this is not his best.

Not bad, but too much echo and too much repeating. Repeating lyrics and hook seem to be the most consistent trends in new music. Not very artsy.

I rather like this! Well Done Adam!

I actually really liked it, including the echo, thought that was a cool effect! But what I could have done without we're the words flashing throughout the entire song, didn't understand that.

Not bad-- I'd like it more if they dialed back the echo effects a bit, but I'm not in the target demographic.

this isn't the actual video, it's just called a "lyric video" so that listeners can see the lyrics. Apparently it's something lots of artists/producers do these days? The official video has been filmed but isn't out yet.

Not a fan..  Loved his last album which was more rock. I love pop, but not a fan of funky house music.  I will listen to the rest of the album before buying it.
