Liz Cheney: "I Am Not Pro Gay-Marriage"

Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick and sister to power lesbian Mary, has clarified to Wyoming voters (who will be deciding her fate in the U.S. Senate later this year) that she is not "pro gay-marriage."

The statement, released in response to the subject of marriage equality being raised by her opponent in the race, incumbent Sen. Mike Enzi, goes on to reveal that Liz wants to leave the civil rights issue up to the states.

“I am strongly pro-life and I am not pro-gay marriage,” Cheney said in a statement released by her campaign. “I believe the issue of marriage must be decided by the states, and by the people in the states, not by judges and not even by legislators, but by the people themselves.”

Papa Dick Cheney recently announced support for marriage equality as Mary Cheney finally married her longtime partner, Heather Poe, in 2012.

The Cheney Thanksgiving Day dinners must be as awkward as the McCain's!
