Neon Trees' Singer Tyler Glenn On Coming Out As A Gay Mormon

Tyler Glenn, the talented lead singer of one of the biggest current pop/punk bands, came out of the closet in March after struggling to accept his identity as a gay Mormon pop star.

With some time between himself and making international news nearly six months ago, Tyler's opening up further with Far Between, a documentary about LGBT Mormons that's currently fundraising on Kickstarter.

In the video Tyler says:

I can’t imagine going farther in life without accepting who I am and now it’s so refreshing to be able to say, I’m figuring it out and I don't have all the answers. When before I would make up answers or I would, you know, tell myself the solutions. And now it’s just really refreshing to be able to say, like, yeah, I love guys. I still believe in that. I still believe in the power of prayer. I still love my family. I still hope that there’s some sort of, you know, togetherness in the afterlife. I don’t want…I don’t know all the answers but I also know this is who I am, this is how I feel.

We love you Tyler. :D Great Video. And made me cry too. :)

Ok, so what if he was in Grindr? Or, even porn? Snarks are just jealous.

Very nice. Thank you all for making and posting this vid.

I bet he's on Grindr right now! Congrats!

Your are right Snarky. I read in one of his *original coming out* interviews that he was using Grindr, Scruff and GROWLr. He said he only came out for fear of his "nudes" being leaked, some hookup "black-mailing" him maybe?

Now we have this revisionist history of Tyler Glenn being some sort of LGBT rights activist...

All I say is - self promotion as "victim" turned "hero" ... Bleh!
