NYPD Releases Sketch Of Suspect Wanted In Manhattan Anti-Gay Hate Crime Assault

The New York Police Department have released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with the anti-gay hate crime assault of a man in Greenwich Village. The attack occurred Sunday at 12:30 a.m. on the W. 4th Street/Washington Square subway platform. 

"Are you Polish? Are you faggots?" the suspect asked the victim who was standing with his partner. "I hate faggots!" The suspect then attacked one of the men, leaving him with a fractured nose, broken orbital bone and deep cut above his eyelid. 

The two men ran from the subway station to Lenox Hill Hospital for treatment. 

Police are pursuing the attack as a hate crime and ask anyone with information on the 5 foot 8, 170 lbs. suspect pictured above to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
