PETA's New Campaign Is Ground Breaking!

For the very first time, PETA is featuring transgender models in its international “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” campaign.

Starring in the history making campaign are models Loiza Lamers and Benjamin Melzer.

Lamers, you may know, was the first transgender contestant to win Holland’s Next Top Model, in 2015.

And last year, bodybuilder and model Ben Melzer made history as the first transgender man to appear on the cover of a European men’s fitness magazine.

Coincidentally, Lamers and Melzer worked together on a fashion campaign for Diesel, last year.

Both models spoke out in support of PETA's mission against fur:

Said Lamers:

“Wearing the pelt of a tormented animal who was electrocuted, beaten, drowned, or skinned alive is creepy and cruel. There are so many fur-free clothing options available now that it’s easy to have a killer look without killing animals.”

Added Melzer:

“Fur has no place in anyone’s wardrobe. We encourage all compassionate people to leave it where it belongs: on animals.”
