Poll Reveals Thin Majority Opposes Same-Sex Marriage

Politico has polled voters in the most hotly contested House and Senate races and their findings reveal that a slight majority of these voters opposes same-sex marriage.

Noting the generational split on this issue, Politico writes

That split is starkest on the question of same-sex marriage, which is supported by 48 percent of those surveyed overall. But that number skyrockets to 61 percent among people between the ages of 18-34.

Slightly more than half of those between ages 35 and 49 support gay marriage; the figure drops to 48 percent among those aged 50-64 and tapers off to 35 percent among those 65 and older. Overall, 52 percent of those surveyed oppose gay marriage.

What's your reaction to these findings, Instincters?

It all depends on the latest survey, of which there are many!

We just need to wait until those people over 65 have died to get rid of the remaining opposition to gay marriage.  After another generation the opposition will be negligible because the problem is an age thing!

I'm an old white guy (74yo), and I support same-sex marriage.  I support Love.  I support happiness.  I support MYOB.  I support live and let live.

But yes, when my generation dies off, it will be a non-issue.  In the meantime I'm one of the 35% over 65 that lives MY life, and does not try to control yours.

As Good As That Sounds It Wont Go Away The Are More IDIOTS Waiting In The Wings !!!
