Pope Francis Not A Fan Of Same-Sex Couples Adopting

Is the honeymoon over?

Pope Francis is apparently "shocked" by new legislation in Malta allowing for same-sex couples to adopt children.

The Times of Malta reports:

The Pope is “shocked” by Malta’s Civil Unions Bill, which will allow gay couples to adopt children, Auxiliary Bishop Charles Scicluna has told The Sunday Times of Malta. Defending his decision to use his Christmas homily to reiterate that a family had to be built around a man and a woman, Mgr Scicluna said he had aired these concerns with Pope Francis when he met him on December 12. “We discussed many aspects...and when I raised the issue that’s worrying me as a bishop [the right for gay couples to adopt] he encouraged me to speak out," Bishop Scicluna said.

Will the clamor over Pope Francis from some in the LGBT community quiet down in 2014?

MY COMMENT TO ABOVE POST

FROM Robert Saull . no it is not over he has the right to believe it if he feels it is not best for a child. He also has a church to run with many followers who hate us So it is a balancing act. If you look at most of the kids today and how they turn out the NORMAL is not working very well. It is better to give a child LOVE and if it is coming from us so be it. Give our Holy Father some breathing room he has a lot on his plate and many people want to eat off of it. Roberto
