Porn Industry Resumes Filming After HIV-Prompted Moratorium

The adult film industry coalition has confirmed that on Friday it will lift the filming moratorium prompted by the HIV positive testing of bisexual performer Rod Daily (above). The two-week moratorium was the second such freezing of filming this summer; the first occurred when Rod's girlfriend, performer Cameron Bay, tested HIV positive in July.

The couple, along with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation as well as another unnamed and unofficial performer who's tested positive for the disease will hold a press conference later today in Los Angeles.

A stricter revision of current rules will go into effect once the industry resumes later this week. All performers will have to be cleared for production with HIV tests starting Thursday; following that, actors will be required to be tested for HIV every 14 days (up from the 28 day cycle that was previously required). The industry still refuses to mandate condoms on set, and insists that its forced testing is enough to keep these HIV-prompted moratoriums from happening again.

Do you think it's enough, Instincters?
