R. Kelly Addresses Transgender Son's Transition In Radio Interview

R. Kelly sat down with the hosts of Chicago radio station WCGI's "The Morning Riot" and he was asked about his transgender teenage son's transition from Jaya to Jay

See what he had to say:

The host began by asking, “There [are] reports of your daughter becoming your son. Would you like to address that because a lot of blogs are saying you are not addressing it.“

Kelly opened his response, saying: “You don’t really wanna open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son...Don’t even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I’m saying? Real talk.“

“As far as that’s concerned, always believe what you see—with your own eyes that is. That’s the best way to go about this business. I’ve heard a lot of things about a lot of people and it was never true," he continued.

While he didn't explicitly acknowledge Jay's transition, Kelly did express his support for all of his children, saying: "You save money so your kids can go to college—no matter what they are or who they are. They’re still your kids, you love them you know, you gotta support them."

Regarding whether rumors--in general, not specific to Jay--are true, Kelly says, “You gotta know there’s a back story. There’s a background. That’s why you can’t judge nobody.“

What do you think of Kelly's stance, Instincters? Is he denying Jay's transition? What's your take on his support?

This stupid little nigger will never have a real dick and balls, only a pump-up one that does not even have a head on it. Will always be a freak and no women will want this thing.

Pathetic nigger does not deserve to breathe.

Well put answer. We support our kids no matter what or who they are. It's was answered. It's not his life but his child's. Bloop!

Because its none of our business. He said he supports his kids. That's enough. Conversation over.

He says he supports his kids because they are his kids and that is all we need to care about. He is still taking care of his children like he said regardless of who they are.

R. Kelly isn't very clear. He's saying general ideas. We still don't hear him saying what he thinks about it.
