Robin Roberts' Coming Out Story Is A Conspiracy Against 'Duck Dynasty'?

Robin Roberts. Duck Dynasty. Both alliterations.

Mind blown yet? Well, the conspiracy is just getting started.

In a blog that ran Monday at the Christian Post, notorious bigot Pastor Mark Creech attempted to launch a new conspiracy theory linking the timing of coming out publicly for ABC's Robin Roberts with the right-wing fervor over A&E's re-hiring (or not firing, depending how you look at it) Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson.

Creech writes:

Consider. Phil Robertson is from the South. Robin Roberts is from the South. Phil Robertson is a beloved television personality. Robin Roberts is a beloved television personality. Phil Robertson attended a university in Louisiana. Robin Roberts went to a university in Louisiana. Phil Robertson is a person of devout Christian faith. Robin Roberts is someone who professes to be a person of devout Christian faith.

Coincidence? Hardly! Contrived? More than likely. Especially since Robert's "coming out" takes place in conjunction with Robertson's reinstatement.

Unable to shut down the voice of one who opposes the homosexual lifestyle from a biblical perspective, gay activists and their media supporters must counter with the voice of someone they believe might eclipse it. Twice now, Roberts is at the heart of an effort to squelch the clear and loud sound of opposition.

Can you imagine living life encumbered by such paranoia?

This has to be the most asinine! article I have ever read!!

I look at it like this people that dose things that are wrong in Gods eye don't care to go to hell and that is up to them!

IT JUST SHOWS ,,,YOU SEE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE ,,,BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE ,,,  THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE THOUGHTS ARE, IS THAT YOUR NOT HURTING SOMEONE ELSE BY VOICING UNEDUCATED THOUGHTS,,,AN ITS CLEAR THIS PERSON IS NOT EDUCATED IN LIFE AN LIVES IN HIS OWN MADE UP WORLD

Rhoman,

I believe the religious right-wing can and will say anything to further their ideology.  Their stupidity knows no bounds.

There's another theory that Phil Robertson & Robin Roberts are the same person.  Think about it people.

I lived it for thirty + years. Doesn't surprise me at all.

I do believe he is engaging in the logical fallacy of post hoc ergo propter hoc. *eye roll.

This Creech couldn't be more wrong if he were comparing an apple to an orange. This rabbit/hat trick is the richest claim yet.

It's a&e not amc lol

omg...it's hard to believe these people actually think in this manner.
