Many believe there's plenty of space to welcome allies.

Meanwhile, others argue that even well-meaning straight people should stay at home.

Twitter users have many different opinions on the subject.

You complain about wanting more straight people to support you, some of us do all the time and not just at Pride, then you complain about that. Which is it?

If they vote with us on issues that matter to gay folk, then "hell yeah!" they're welcome at Pride. If they're fair-weather friends, then let it rain on their (but not our) parades.

I think straight people at Pride is fine. When I was in Montreal I saw straight families with their children watching the parade... I thought r was cute. What I don't like is straight girl bachelorette parties at gay clubs. They act like the LGBT patrons are there for their entertainment.
